Easy homemade margaritas with simple syrup made from monk ruit sweetener. Perfect recipe for keto and diabetic diet.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup monk fruit sweetener
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 ounces tequila
  • ¾ ounce fresh lime juice
  • ¾ ounce simple syrup
  • 1.5 ounces full fat coconut milk
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Make the simple syrup by combining the water and monk fruit sweetener in a small pan, Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, about 6 minutes. Set aside and let cool or add ice cubes if in a hurry.
  2. To a cocktail shaker, add a handful of ice along with the tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake well for 20 seconds and give it a taste, you may want more sweetness. Adjust, shake again, and serve in a glass.
  3. To make the horchata margarita, add ice to a cocktail shaker along with the tequila, lime juice, simple syrup, coconut milk, and cinnamon. Shake well and give it a taste, you may want more sweetness or coconut milk. Adjust, shake well, and serve.
